I live I breathe

Since it's Holy Week, I want to share a song which is apt for the season. It's one of my fave and it never fails to bring me in a worship-y mood.

I live I breathe
by Jon Owens

I didn’t deserve your grace

I didn’t deserve your mercy

But still you took my place

Because you love me

And for you it wasn’t enough to save my soul

To set me free and make me whole

You had a plan for me a destiny for my life

Chorus

So I live to give You glory

And I breathe to give You praise

You paid the ransom for me

And you took away my shame

You said the you delight in me

And I know your word is true

I live, I breathe, I love to worship You

Now I receive your grace

I receive your mercy

Cause I wanna be like You

To follow your heart

And for me it wasn’t enough to take your name

accept your gift and remain the same

I want to honor you and bless you all of my days

So I live to give you glory

And I breathe to give you praise

You paid the ransom for me

And you took away my shame

You said the delight in me

And Iknow your word is true

I live, I breathe, I love to worship you

I worship you, I worship you (2x)

I honor you, I honor you (2x)

So I live to give you glory

And I breathe to give you praise

You paid the ransom for me

And you took away my shame

You said the delight in me

And Iknow your word is true

I live, I breathe, I love to worship you

Nostalgic

I was in a restobar last night when Nikki Hassman's Any Lucky Penny suddenly played. I was transported back to my teen years in an instant. A time when everything was carefree. When summer afternoons were spent at the porch dreaming of the impossible. A time when feelings are raw and everything is new. Aaaww, the days! I feel old! Lol. (I think they got their playlist mixed up and realized the mistake after a minute, they went back to playing Sean Kingston. Lol)

Am being nostalgic and now am listening to songs from late 90's/early 2000's. Lemme share a some of my fave. Hope you enjoy! :))

A remake I like

I may not be a big fan of the "actual" remake of We Are The World, but I luurrve this. Not overdone, very cute! :)

On We are the World

Everyone has got something to say so I'm gonna throw in my two cents worth of opinion. I didn't like it. (I have to agree with Jay Z) "We are the world" is one of the untouchable songs. A legend sang it, no one could sing it better. Not even 85 artists pooled in together can. The original was made a year before I was born and it wasn't until I was 9 or 10 when I first heard the song. It sent chills up my bones. I was literally close to tears. That time when my fave artists were Green Day and Spice Girls. When I heard the remake, it didn't move me at all. There was something missing in the song. Well, when I watched the music video, sure I was touched coz of the clips of Haitians. But if I just listen to the song, it's....blah!

Then again, they did the song for charity and not to win a Grammy. So I'm just gonna shut up! Lol :))

Maybe, also, it has something to do with the fact that I'm usually not a big fan of remakes. Sure, there are a couple of good remakes every now and then, but generally I don't like remakes. Especially if I love the original. That's why I can't be an uber big fan of Glee. And why I think Nina should stop doing remakes and make proper use of her talent by singing original songs. If artist sing it on ASAP, no problem, but if they make an album full of remakes that's another story. I mean c'mon, Sarah, Juris, Nina, Jed Madela and others are great singers and I think it's about time they stop singing remakes. They've made their point, they're great singers, now be a great artist too.

Illuminati in Hollywood

I am in utter shock! I know Hollywood is dirty...but I never though it's THAT dirty. I can't explain it as my mind is still reeling from the videos I've watched and articles I've read. Just right after I tweeted how great LadyGaga is. And you all know how I'm a big fan of her.

There are other series of this, if you are interested, youtube-d it up! But read articles by Vigilant Citizen as they're more detailed. It will send goosebumps up your sleeves. Something about Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, and more about Lady Gaga. In no way I am saying that all these are true. But if you google connections about Illuminati and these artists, a lot of links will come up. And all coincide with each other. The images, the symbolism..sheesh! I am heartbroken..seriously! And I'm not being OA. For a music lover and a Christian, I am torn. Could all these be true? Should I not listen to their song anymore? Must I stop watching MTV? Oh no! Oh no! Oh no!

Here's a commercial "analysis" of MTV's holiday ad.

What do you think?

All these drove my sickness away. I'm still stuck. I can't move on. And OA-ness aside, this will haunt me for a very long time! It is possible that Illuminati exists in Hollywood but still....

What am I listening to?

I don't think I've said this enough, but I'm a big fan of country music. Not just of the recent artist, but I grew up listening to country music because of my dad. He claims that the only REAL music are country songs. He eventually rubbed it on me. And I'm trying to rub it to my friends. With that, I'd like to share my recently discovered band, Lady Antebellum. They're definitely going to the list of my faves. Watch the video of their song, I Run to You.

And check out their album as well, they have a lot of great songs! :-)
